Sending your phone or console to the workshop: how to pack it well
A well-prepared Colissimo arrives in two days and goes back repaired the same week. Here is the list, device by device.
For every device
- A rigid box, at least 5 cm larger than the device on every side.
- The device wrapped in bubble wrap or a garment, wedged in the centre, unable to move when the box is shaken.
- A note with your name, phone number, return address, and the fault in two lines (and the unlock code if you agree to us testing; otherwise we work it out).
- Sent by tracked Colissimo; the return, also tracked, is included in the price.
Smartphone and tablet
Without the case, without the SIM card, without the charger (we have our own). If the screen is broken, a film or some tape over it keeps glass shards out of the parcel. A phone that has been in water goes the same day, without being switched back on.
Console
The console alone, without cables or controllers, unless the fault involves them (say so). Ideally in its original box. For a PS5, remove the disc from the drive and the stand.
MacBook and laptop
With the charger, always: without it we can't test properly. Closed, in bubble wrap, in a rigid box. Note your login password if you agree to us starting the machine.
Drone
Without propellers, with one battery and the controller, and the microSD card removed. A swollen battery doesn't travel by post: tell us, and we explain what to do.
You receive a message when the parcel arrives, another with the firm price, and a last one with the return tracking number.
