Data recovery from a dead device
No backup, and the phone or Mac won't turn on? On recent devices the data is encrypted and soldered to the logic board: it can't be read anywhere else. The only way is to bring the board back to life long enough to copy everything. That is our job.
What we recover
- iPhone and iPad that won't turn on, dropped in water, bent, with a destroyed screen.
- Samsung and other Android: same cases.
- MacBook with soldered SSD (all Apple Silicon Macs, and most since 2016): liquid damage, dead logic board, black screen.
- Consoles: unsynced saves, when the memory is accessible.
How it works
We repair the logic board just enough for it to boot, plug the device in and copy your data to a medium of your choice (drive, stick, your new phone). You enter your passcode yourself: we never ask for it in writing, and we don't look at the content.
Fixed price: 149 € for a smartphone or tablet, 249 € for a Mac. If we recover nothing, nothing is charged.
What not to do
- Charge or switch on a device that fell in water.
- Let a device attempt updates in a loop.
- Have the board opened by someone without a microscope: one more torn trace and the data is gone for good.
